Biography:

Ellick was one slave out of 176 listed in the inventory of Charles Carnan Ridgely after his 1829 death.  Ellick was appraised along with all of the other slaves on August 29, 1829 by Charles L.W. Dorsey and Mary Dorsey, Administrators of Charles Ridgely of Hampton.  He was valued at $275.00.
