1. On October 28, 1773, unexpectedly and without notice to the governor or Upper House, the Lower House adjourned itself to "consult their Constituents on the present distressed Circumstances of the Province." The following day, the governor, acting with the advice of the Council, prorogued the Assembly until November 16, 1773.
2. Hall, originally a delegate from Baltimore County, was elected to represent the newly formed Harford County by the third session.
3. White, originally a delegate from Dorchester County, was elected to represent the newly formed Caroline County by the third session.
4. The dispute over Hagar's right to a seat in the Assembly continued from the preceding Assembly. Arguing that the Assembly should have been immediately dissolved after the death of the proprietor in September 1771, the Lower House determined that the act investing naturalized subjects with the same rights as natural born subjects "was not enacted by legal and Constitutional authority, and is therefore void." Hagar was then ruled ineligible to hold a seat in the Assembly, and was discharged on October 15, 1773.
5. Harford and Caroline counties were formed by acts of the Assembly passed during the second session.
